How to Create a Cart Discount (Row Level – Order Total)

A cart discount gives a discount when the cart subtotal or quantity meets the set condition. It can be applied to the whole cart, all products, specific collections, or specific products.

Step 1: Create a New Discount

1. Go to Apps → OSCP Wholesale in your Shopify admin.
2. Click Cart Discount from the left menu.
3. Click Create Discounts.
   A discount setup form will appear.

4. Offer Status:
   • Enable – Activates the discount immediately.
   • Disable – Deactivates the discount, keeping it saved for future use.
5. Order Discount (Title):
   
   • Enter a Title in the Cart Discount field.
   •  This title will be visible to customers on the cart and checkout pages as the discount name.

Step 2: Select Apply To

Select where the discount should be applied:

Cart Level
The discount will trigger when the cart subtotal/ Qty reaches the defined value.

All Products
The Discount applies to all products in the cart

Specific Collection

The discount applies to all products that belong to the specified collections in the cart.

Specific Products
The Discount applies to eligible specific products in the cart

Note: This feature is available under the Advanced Plan and can be applied at the specific product and collection level.

Step 3: Customer Eligibility (Optional)

In this section, you can define which customers are eligible to receive the discount. You have the following options:

All Customers
By default, the discount will be available to all customers.

Logged-in Customers
Select this option to make the discount available only to customers who are logged in.

Tagged Customers
Select this option to apply the discount only to customers associated with specific tags (e.g., wholesale, vip).

Step 4: Discount Conditions

Choose how the discount should be triggered:

Minimum purchase amount (Cart Subtotal)
The discount is applied based on the cart subtotal before any discounts are applied.

Minimum quantity of items (Cart Quantity)
The discount is applied based on the total quantity of items in the cart before any discounts are applied.

Step 5: Configure Discount Type

Choose one of the following discount types:

• Percentage Discount
  Fixed Amount Off

Then enter:

• Minimum Value – Minimum cart subtotal required
• Discount Value – Discount amount or percentage

Click Save Tier to add the rule.

Storefront View

Once saved, the discount will be applied at the Cart Subtotal   in the cart based on the order total.

Discount Applied

Once the rule is added, the discount will be applied at the product row level in the cart.

Discount Label (Required)

Go to Cart Discount.

Click on Settings (top-right corner).

In the Discount Label field, enter the name you want to display
(Example: Wholesale – Custom Order Discount).

Click Save.
