Attributes are called properties of a product that may change between variations, while still keeping \r\nthe same product name: color, capacity, size, weight,and many more. \r\n\r\nA) ADDING NEW ATTRIBUTE:\r\nHow to add a new product attribute?\r\n\r\nLog into your Prestashop Backend.\r\nGo to Catalog tab and click on Product Attributes.\r\n\r\nClick on ADD NEW ATTRIBUTES button or \u201c+\u201d icon which is on upper right corner of the page. \r\n\r\nOn the ADD NEW ATTRIBUTES page enter the following fields :\r\n\r\nName: Enter the name of attribute for instance. \r\n(It is not visible to your store visitors)\r\nPublic name: Enter the name of attribute for \r\neg: Color (visible to your store visitors)\r\nURL: Enter the specific URL .\r\nMeta title: Specific format for meta title\r\nIndexable: Use this attribute in URL generated by the layered navigation module\r\nAttribute type: Choose the type of the attribute.\r\neg: Color or texture.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Click Save. \r\n You can see the new attribute you recently added in the list. \r\n\r\n\r\n B) ADDING ATTRIBUTE VALUES:\r\n\r\n Under Catalog => Product Attributes click on Add New Values. \r\n\r\n\r\nEnter the following information:\r\n\r\nAttribute Type: Select the type of attribute e.g. Color.\r\nValue: Enter the name of the value itself, see example for Color, like it may be Blue, Pink, Metallic etc.\r\nMeta Title: Specific format for meta title.\r\nColor: Choose a color using the color picker, or enter an HTML color \r\neg: for Red its code is #E84C3D. \r\nTexture: You can also upload the color texture from your collection this will override the HTML color that you have selected before.\r\n\r\n\r\nClick on Save at the top right or Save Add Another Value to add more values.\r\n\r\n\r\nNow under Catalog =>Product Attributes if you click on View button, you will see all the \r\nvalues you added. You can also edit or delete them from there even search for a value. \r\n\r\nOnce your attributes are in place and their values are set, you can create product variations or combinations in each product's Combinations tab, from the Products page under the Catalog menu.
